Basra: The head of the Basra Provincial Council, Khalaf al-Badran, engaged in discussions with Chen Bichong, the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Basra, focusing on enhancing joint investment efforts, particularly within the housing sector.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Badran proposed organizing an investment conference. This event would aim to bring together Chinese companies and the Provincial Council to identify and explore potential investment opportunities in the region.

Al-Badran highlighted Basra’s intent to leverage advanced Chinese expertise and capabilities. The objective is to bolster development and reconstruction efforts across the province, thereby fostering growth in Basra’s housing sector.
