Damascus: The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced today that it has taken control of Al-Tanf base and begun deploying in the border triangle.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Syrian Ministry of Defense stated that units of the Syrian Arab Army have assumed control of Al-Tanf base in the Syrian desert. This move is part of a coordinated effort between the Syrian and American sides. Upon taking control, military units began securing the base and its surrounding area, while initiating field deployment operations along the Syrian-Iraqi-Jordanian border in the Al-Tanf desert region.

In a related development, the Ministry indicated that border guard forces are set to commence their official duties in the area in the coming days. Reinforcements will be distributed and deployed to border points to ensure control and strategic security in the region.
