Diyala: A joint security force thwarted an attempt to smuggle 42 foreigners from one of the northern provinces into Diyala.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Haitham al-Shammari, Director of Public Relations and Media for the Diyala Police, stated that the operation was based on precise intelligence. A joint force intercepted a tanker truck that was concealing 42 Pakistani nationals. This operation was part of an organized crime effort aimed at violating the law and endangering lives.

He further explained that the tanker was seized and all individuals involved in the smuggling operation were arrested, successfully preventing the illegal activity.
