Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani emphasized the importance of integrated work between the legislative and executive branches. A statement by his media office indicated that “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani received Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad Atroushi today, Monday, and they reviewed the political situation across the country.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement explained that the two sides discussed efforts to fulfill constitutional requirements, strengthen the democratic process, achieve citizens’ aspirations, and ensure the continuation of development and service provision throughout Iraq.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of integrated work between the legislative and executive branches, and the need to support the work of the House of Representatives, particularly during this phase, in order to advance development projects, address economic challenges, and bolster the government’s efforts to maximize revenues, reduce expenditures, and prioritize the allocation of public funds.
