Al-Hakim and Al-Mandalawi Address Presidential Election and Government Formation

Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, hosted Mohsen al-Mandalawi, head of the Asas Alliance, at his office this morning. During their meeting, they discussed the evolving political landscape in Iraq and the region, focusing on the election of the president and the formation of the government.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim emphasized the necessity of overcoming the current crisis by prioritizing the public interest over private interests. He highlighted the importance of translating election promises into tangible action plans that facilitate genuine change in Iraq and meet the aspirations of its citizens.

Al-Hakim also noted that Iraq is facing an economic challenge linked to fluctuating oil prices. He explained that the solution involves revitalizing the productive sectors, rationalizing public spending, and strengthening the role of the private sector to achieve sustainable diversification of national income sources.
