Al-Hakim Affirms Iraq’s Support for Lebanon Amid Ongoing Challenges

Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, reaffirmed Iraq’s unwavering support for Lebanon, emphasizing the solidarity of Iraq’s government, people, and social and political figures with the Lebanese people.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim conveyed this message during a meeting with the newly appointed Lebanese Ambassador to Iraq, Khalil Abdullah Muhammad, held at al-Hakim’s office in Baghdad. He highlighted the enduring relationship between Iraq and Lebanon, underscoring the commitment of Iraq to stand with Lebanon during challenging times.

Al-Hakim expressed condemnation of the repeated attacks and bombings targeting Lebanon, urging the international community to take action to halt such aggression. He emphasized the importance of facilitating the return of displaced individuals and the reconstruction of affected areas, reiterating Iraq’s commitment to fostering bilateral relations across various sectors.

Furthermore, al-Hakim called for collaborative efforts in addressing strategic issues and emphasized the need to combat extremist ideologies and dismantle dormant terrorist cells to enhance regional security and stability.
