Baghdad: The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, emphasized the importance of adopting political realism as a fundamental approach to governing countries and safeguarding the interests of their peoples, stressing the need to preserve and build upon Iraq’s current stability.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, speaking at a Ramadan evening event organized by the Iraqi Medical Association, Al-Hakim expressed his pleasure at meeting distinguished medical professionals and discussing recent political developments in Iraq and the wider region.
Al-Hakim noted that Iraq has been at the center of the region’s recent turbulence, underscoring that Iraq’s dignity stems from the dignity and security of its people. He highlighted the importance of protecting the country’s supreme interests through wisdom and constructive engagement with various challenges.
He also called for revising and amending laws related to the health sector and medical professions in a way that stimulates and activates the private sector, transforming it into an attractive environment while supporting, training, and developing the Iraqi workforce. He affirmed that strengthening the private sector would contribute to improving public sector services by alleviating pressure on them.
