Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi has emphasized the need for unified efforts to ensure the continued functioning of the House of Representatives. Al-Halbousi praised the efforts of the heads of parliamentary blocs and members of parliament in their progress toward forming several parliamentary committees.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Halbousi urged all parties to intensify their efforts and work with a spirit of responsibility and cooperation to complete the formation of the remaining parliamentary committees. He highlighted that this would enhance the parliament’s functionality, enabling it to effectively fulfill its oversight and legislative duties, which is crucial given the sensitive phase the country is experiencing.

The Speaker underscored the necessity of collaboration among different blocs and political forces to maintain the parliament’s efficient operation, thereby serving the nation’s best interests and addressing the aspirations of its citizens.
