Baghdad: President-elect Nizar Amidi affirmed his commitment to the principle of “Iraq First” on Saturday, while condemning recent attacks targeting the nation. Speaking before the Parliament, Amidi acknowledged the gravity of the responsibilities that come with his new role and the numerous challenges currently facing Iraq.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Amidi expressed his dedication to collaborating with Iraq’s executive, legislative, and judicial authorities. He emphasized his support for efforts aimed at ending ongoing conflicts within the region. Additionally, the President-elect condemned the recent attacks on Iraq and vowed to defend the interests and security of the Iraqi people.
