According to Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi film “White Nothingness” won the award after competing with more than 187 participating films from several countries. The festival’s jury awarded the prize to Jalal based on the directorial vision and the humanitarian messages conveyed in the work.

The correspondent added that this victory represents a new addition to Iraqi cinema, especially for filmmakers in Nineveh Governorate, enhancing the presence of local artistic and cultural productions at international film festivals and events.
