Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Haibat al-Halbousi met with the head of the National Security Service, Basim Muhammad Yunis al-Badri, to discuss a range of issues pertaining to the agency’s operations and ways to bolster its efforts in safeguarding national security and promoting stability.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Speaker’s media office released a statement indicating that al-Halbousi officially welcomed Basim Muhammad Yunis al-Badri, the newly appointed head of the National Security Service. The Speaker extended his congratulations to al-Badri on his new role and expressed his hopes for his success in this significant position.
