Beirut: Lebanese President Joseph Aoun emphasized the necessity of Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon for the nation to achieve complete sovereignty and allow the army to deploy effectively. He highlighted this condition as crucial for consolidating state power.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Aoun remarked that the Lebanese Armed Forces, along with security services, form the cornerstone for maintaining security and stability in the region, which is essential for facilitating the return of displaced populations to their homes.

President Aoun firmly stated that Lebanon is committed to avoiding civil war and will not succumb to attempts that aim to incite internal divisions. Additionally, he clarified that the current suspension of mutual legal claims with Israel is strictly during the negotiation period and does not imply a permanent cessation of these claims.
