Baghdad: National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji and the head of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council, Sheikh Humam Hammoudi, stressed the need to support state efforts to uphold the rule of law, the National Security Adviser's media office said on Monday.
According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Araji met with Hammoudi to discuss the overall political and security situation in Iraq. They reviewed ways to strengthen domestic stability and reinforce the foundations of peaceful security during their meeting.
The discussions also included an exchange of views on enhancing cooperation among national political forces. This cooperation aims to support the state's efforts to uphold the rule of law and achieve sustainable development in line with the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
