Kansas city: American media reports have revealed that Sporting Kansas City, a Major League Soccer (MLS) club, has entered the race to sign Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, just days after his contract with Liverpool expired. The Athletic reported that the American club has made an offer to acquire the Egyptian national team captain as part of its efforts to secure a major signing during the summer transfer window, adding him to the list of stars playing in MLS, most notably Lionel Messi. According to National Iraqi News Agency, journalist Paul Tenorio highlighted that Salah's move to MLS remains a difficult option, given the player's desire to continue his career in Europe, in addition to the significant interest shown by Saudi Arabian clubs in signing him. The report indicated that Sporting Kansas City would be the most likely destination for Salah should he decide to move to MLS in the near future. The Athletic reported that several MLS clubs have expressed interest in signing Salah, but Sporting Kansas City is currently leading the race to acquire the Egyptian star.
