Saudi and Pakistani Foreign Ministers Call for Renewed Mediation Efforts

Riyadh: The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have underscored the importance of supporting mediation efforts, resuming US-Iranian talks, and containing escalating tensions. In a recent discussion, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar emphasized the need for diplomatic initiatives to address the current regional challenges.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that "Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received a phone call from the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar." The conversation focused on the recent developments in the region's geopolitical landscape.

The report further highlighted that both ministers discussed the significance of mediation efforts and the resumption of US-Iranian talks. They stressed the necessity of taking steps to contain tensions and pursue peaceful and comprehensive solutions that would contribute to regional and international security and stability.
