Baghdad: Hussein Al-Kharsan has been tasked with managing the Oil Products Distribution Company following a leadership change. Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair al-Abadi appointed Hussein Majeed Saleh al-Kharsan, the assistant director general, to helm the company. This decision was made on Saturday, shortly after the arrest of the former director general, Hussein Talib.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the appointment was described as necessary based on the operational requirements of the Oil Products Distribution Company. The arrest of Hussein Talib in Baghdad led to the leadership change, although no official details have been released about the reasons for his arrest or which authority was responsible for it.
