Basra: The Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Hussein Al-Awadi, visited the headquarters of the Fourth Border Guard Region Command in Basra Governorate, where he conducted an inspection tour and held a security conference with commanders of the formations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Dr. Al-Awadi's visit included a security briefing by the Regional Commander, outlining current field operations, deployment levels, and measures to secure land and sea borders. The undersecretary stressed the importance of heightened readiness and coordination among formations to ensure control over borders and protect Iraq's security and sovereignty.

Dr. Al-Awadi emphasized that border security is a national priority requiring discipline and preparedness. He praised the efforts of the Fourth Border Guard Region Command personnel for their dedication to national duty and affirmed the Ministry of Interior's ongoing support for forces stationed at the borders.
