Baghdad: The Ministry of Education has initiated a comprehensive field campaign aimed at private kindergartens, focusing on the closure of those operating without licenses.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry revealed that the campaign is conducted under the directives of the Minister of Education, with the direct oversight of the Director General of Education for Karkh 1, Furqan Mahmoud Rajab. A specialized committee has been deployed to the Yarmouk, Qadisiyah, and Dawoodi districts to monitor the renewal of licenses for private kindergartens and enforce legal measures against those operating unlicensed, ultimately resulting in their closure as per the regulatory framework for private educational institutions.

The Ministry's statement emphasized that during the campaign, the committee evaluated the procedures for processing license renewal applications, underscoring the importance of meeting deadlines and fulfilling all legal and administrative requirements. The committee also highlighted the need for precise data and compliance with established educational standards to maintain the quality of educational services provided to young children.

The Ministry further stated that the Directorate General of Education is committed to its ongoing field monitoring programs to ensure private kindergartens comply with existing regulations and standards. This initiative aligns with the Ministry's broader objectives to enhance administrative and educational discipline within the private education sector.

The campaign was executed with support from directors of educational supervision, specialized supervision, and private and foreign education departments. Coordination with security agencies and representatives from national and local security forces was also part of the effort to ensure adherence to applicable regulations and to take legal actions against non-compliant entities.
