Nineveh: Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil announced that the federal government has reaffirmed its commitment to completing key strategic projects in the province. This announcement followed a significant meeting with Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi, where several critical issues were addressed, including the Mosul Airport project, housing, agriculture, and the return of displaced persons.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Governor al-Dakhil reported that the federal government has approved funding for ongoing projects to ensure their seamless continuation. The discussions with the Prime Minister included plans to construct 100,000 serviced housing units and the procurement of wheat from Nineveh farmers. Additionally, they focused on facilitating the return of displaced persons to Sinjar, a crucial step in the region's recovery process.
Governor al-Dakhil emphasized that the upcoming phase will involve direct follow-up on the agreed-upon implementations. This proactive approach is expected to expedite reconstruction efforts and foster development and stability throughout the province, marking a significant stride toward Nineveh's revitalization.
