Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi sent a cable of condolences to the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on the death of his father, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who passed away this morning.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in his cable, al-Zaidi expressed his deepest condolences to the brotherly State of Qatar, its government and people, on this painful loss. He asked God Almighty to grant the deceased His abundant mercy and to inspire his family with patience and solace.
