Baghdad: The President of the Republic, Nizar Amidi, has underscored the significance of the role played by Iraqi diplomatic missions abroad. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency released a statement following a meeting between President Amidi and Ambassador Yasser Al-Hajjaj at Baghdad Palace, marking the latter’s commencement of his duties as the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, President Amidi highlighted the importance of diplomatic missions as the official representation of the state, emphasizing the necessity of enhancing consular services and facilitating transactions for Iraqi citizens. He stressed the importance of addressing the needs of citizens in a manner that fosters trust in state institutions and reflects the state’s responsibility to care for its citizens globally.
