Ministry of Interior Refutes Claims of Double Salaries for 600,000 Personnel

Baghdad: The Ministry of Interior has firmly denied allegations that 600,000 of its employees are receiving double salaries. Major General Miqdad Miri, who heads the Department of Relations and Media at the Ministry, addressed these claims in a recent press release.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Major General Miri emphasized that the allegations made by Qazwini are completely baseless and lack any substantiation through evidence or official documentation. He highlighted that the Ministry of Interior utilizes advanced auditing systems to ensure the financial and administrative integrity of its operations. Salaries are subjected to detailed auditing and oversight by relevant authorities, and the figures cited in the allegations are described as unrealistic.

The Ministry expressed surprise over what it termed as irresponsible statements, stating that the spread of misleading information negatively impacts state institutions and public opinion. It stressed the importance of accuracy and urged the public to rely on official sources for information. The Ministry also clarified its position by reserving the right to pursue legal action against those spreading false information that could harm the security establishment and its personnel.
