Cairo: The Cairo International Monodrama Festival, in its ninth edition, honored the Dibba Association for Culture, Arts, and Theater in recognition of its role in supporting the cultural and artistic movement and its contributions to the development of theater, nurturing talent, and enhancing creative presence on the Arab scene. The award was received by writer Hamad Al-Dhanhani, Secretary of the Association; artist Khalifa Al-Takhloufa; Ibrahim Al-Qahoumi, Director of Dibba Al-Fujairah Theater; and Ibrahim Al-Shamsi, Head of the Media Committee, during the festival's opening ceremony held at the Cairo Opera House.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ceremony was attended by a distinguished group of artists and theater professionals from various Arab and international countries. The ninth edition of the Cairo International Monodrama Festival, themed "From Cairo... Creativity Takes Flight," will run until July 17th, featuring wide participation from Arab and international troupes and artists. The festival includes theatrical performances, specialized workshops, and intellectual seminars, further solidifying its position as one of the most prominent theatrical events specializing in the art of monodrama.
This recognition affirms the esteemed position of the Dibba Association for Culture, Arts, and Theatre within the Arab cultural and theatrical landscape. It also crowns its journey in presenting theatrical and cultural initiatives and works that have contributed to strengthening the presence of Emirati theatre at regional and international events, and solidifying the status of Emirati creativity on the Arab cultural scene.
