Baghdad: Lieutenant General Qais al-Muhammadawi, Deputy Commander of Joint Operations and Head of the Supreme Committee for the Million-Person Pilgrimage, arrived in Diyala Governorate to assess the arrangements for receiving Arbaeen pilgrims via the Al-Mundhiriya border crossing. Al-Muhammadawi was accompanied by the heads of the pertinent service, security, and technical committees.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Muhammadawi's visit aims to review the latest preparations for accommodating the influx of Arbaeen pilgrims through the al-Mundhiriya border crossing. He will also inspect the area falling under his jurisdiction to ensure everything is in place for the upcoming pilgrimage.
