Baghdad: The Minister of Transport and the Jordanian Ambassador have engaged in talks to enhance aviation links and open a Kingdom Airlines office in Baghdad. Minister of Transport Wahab al-Hassani hosted the Jordanian Ambassador to Baghdad, Maher al-Tarawneh, in a meeting at his office.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry released a statement indicating the minister’s commitment to support and facilitate the increase in flights between Iraq and Jordan. The discussions also focused on the Jordanian request to complete the necessary procedures for establishing a Royal Jordanian Airlines office in Baghdad. This move aims to mirror the presence of the Iraqi Airways office in Amman and to explore ways to boost cooperation in land transport, benefiting the mutual interests of both nations.
The Jordanian ambassador reiterated the importance of strengthening cooperation to further the shared interests of Iraq and Jordan, highlighting the strong bilateral relationship between the two countries.
