Baghdad: Border forces thwarted an attempt by 44 foreigners to infiltrate the country in Dohuk and Wasit. A statement from the Ministry of Interior said: "The Border Forces Command, through separate security operations, managed to arrest 44 infiltrators of Asian nationalities who attempted to illegally cross the Iraqi border in the governorates of Dohuk and Wasit."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Interior affirmed that the Border Forces continue to carry out their security duties to protect the borders and prevent all infiltration and smuggling attempts. The necessary legal measures were taken against the infiltrators, and they were referred to the competent authorities in accordance with established procedures.
