Beirut: In a significant gesture of aid, the Imam Hussein Shrine has dispatched an aid convoy to Lebanon, aimed at bolstering the country's health sector. The convoy, which includes 14 modern ambulances and a range of medical and health supplies, was sent under the guidance of Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority and legal custodian of the Holy Shrine, with supervision by Secretary-General Hassan Rashid Jawad al-Abayji.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the Media Department, Engineer Abbas al-Khafaji, highlighted the initiative's humanitarian intent. He stated that the aid is directed towards the Lebanese people and emphasized that this convoy marks just the beginning. The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein plans to continue its support with further convoys, which will include not only medical and health supplies but also logistical and financial assistance.

Al-Khafaji elaborated on the broader context of this initiative, noting that it is part of an ongoing series of humanitarian efforts by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. These efforts extend beyond Lebanon, reaching out to support populations affected by crises in Palestine, Iran, and Syria as well.
