Tehran: Iranian media reported new explosions in several Iranian cities, targeting infrastructure and bridges.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Mehr News Agency stated, "Ten new explosions were heard on Qeshm Island in southern Iran following US airstrikes," while Tasnim News Agency reported that seven people were injured in a US attack on an area in Bandar Abbas.
The agency also indicated that US airstrikes targeted the airport in Iranshahr, Sistan and Baluchestan province, in southeastern Iran, and that the US attacks damaged the bridge connecting Bandar Abbas and Shiraz. It further reported the closure of the Bandar Abbas-Khorestan-Lar road after a US attack on the Shur River bridge in Hormozgan province.
As reported by Tasnim News Agency, "Three powerful explosions occurred near Iranshahr Airport in Sistan and Baluchestan Province. The US military attacked Bandar Khamir and the Kahristan region in Hormozgan Province." Iranian television also reported six consecutive explosions in Hamidieh, Khuzestan Province, in the southwest of the country.
It further reported that two bridges in Bandar Khamir, Hormozgan Province, were targeted, and that a driver was killed while crossing one of the targeted bridges.
