Chief of Staff of Popular Mobilization Forces Meets Governor of Holy Karbala to Discuss Arbaeen Pilgrimage Preparations

Karbala: The Chief of Staff of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), Abdul Aziz al-Muhammadawi, held a significant meeting with the Governor of Karbala, Nassif Jassim al-Khattabi, at the governorate building. The discussion centered around the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage, a major religious event drawing millions of pilgrims to the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting also included the participation of Ahmed Abbas al-Maliki, the Director General of the Service and Engineering Effort Directorate, and Ahmed al-Moussawi, the Director of Security for the PMF in Karbala. The primary focus was on enhancing cooperation and coordination between the local government and the PMF to ensure a well-organized pilgrimage.

Both parties stressed the necessity of unifying efforts between government institutions and the PMF. This collaboration aims to effectively manage the influx of pilgrims from Iraq and abroad. The Chief of Staff assured that all PMF formations are prepared to partake in the security and service plan, with initiatives to support service departments starting immediately and extending beyond the pilgrimage.
