Houston: Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi held talks today at the headquarters of engineering and technology company KBR, alongside the Minister of Oil, the Minister of Electricity, the Chairman of the PM Advisory Commission, several advisers, and the Iraqi Ambassador to Washington.
According to Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, Prime Minister Al-Zaidi outlined the government's priorities and vision for development and economic reform. This includes increasing oil production, enhancing Iraq's export capacity through diversified routes, expanding refining capacity, and achieving self-sufficiency in petroleum products, petrochemicals, and natural gas.
The Prime Minister stated that Iraq's investment environment is now attractive for technological solutions and financing partnerships with U.S. companies across various sectors. He also highlighted numerous investment opportunities in energy, mining, and the development of natural resource assets, as well as in the services sector to address the needs of the Iraqi people and confront national challenges.
The statement further confirmed that Prime Minister Al-Zaidi emphasized the government's commitment to strengthening stability and ending any unauthorized presence of weapons in Iraq by the end of next September. Additionally, the government is ready to allocate land for investment in industrial and petrochemical facilities along the strategic oil pipeline corridor, parallel to the Development Road corridor. This initiative aims to accelerate implementation, facilitate operations and production, complete pipeline networks, develop human capital, and attract and develop national expertise.
