Baghdad: The Middle Technical University is spearheading the 2026 Technical Mind Competition, showcasing 30 student projects and innovations in collaboration with the UNEVOC Iraq branch. This initiative aligns with World Youth Skills Day, highlighting the university's commitment to fostering digital innovation and entrepreneurship.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the event, the university president reiterated the institution's dedication to creating a supportive environment for digital innovation. The competition featured approximately 30 applied and engineering projects categorized into four areas: artificial intelligence in sustainability, AI applications in the health sector, smart cybersecurity, and big data analytics and its applications.
The scientific committee overseeing the competition announced that seven student projects were recognized for their innovative solutions. These projects aim to empower young talent and facilitate their integration into the labor market through technology incubators and strategic partnerships with both public and private sectors.
The competition is designed to inspire creativity and innovation, leveraging AI technologies to address various challenges while refining students' skills for the future labor market. Representatives from private sector companies also attended the event, reviewing student innovations and exploring potential collaborations with the standout teams.
