Ammar Al-Hakim Backs Government’s Anti-Corruption Efforts, Urges Transparent Disclosure

Fallujah: Ammar al-Hakim, leader of the National Wisdom Movement, has reinforced his support for the government's efforts to combat corruption, emphasizing the need for the disclosure of files without political biases. During his recent visit to Fallujah, al-Hakim highlighted the economic challenges that have bolstered support for Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi, acknowledging al-Zubaidi's understanding of governmental operations due to his previous experience in business and direct involvement with government departments. According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim addressed regional events and their implications for Iraq, expressing optimism that the prevailing crisis would be short-lived and urging patience and comprehension of the ongoing pressures. He emphasized the necessity for economic reform, outlining the current focus on enhancing production and bolstering the electricity sector through targeted energy and development initiatives. Al-Hakim reiterated his endorsement of the government's strate gy to tackle corruption, particularly focusing on significant cases, and underscored the substantial benefits of such efforts. He called for steadfastness and transparency in revealing corruption-related files, devoid of political influence. Additionally, he advocated for strengthening bilateral relations with certain countries within the international coalition, aiming for economic partnerships that align with Iraqi interests.
