Baghdad: Iraqi President Nizar Amidi has denounced the recent attacks targeting the cities of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, emphasizing that any assault on Iraqi territory is an unacceptable breach of Iraq’s sovereignty.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Amidi expressed his condemnation through a post on the (X) platform, where he articulated his stance against the attacks on the two cities. He declared that any targeting of Iraqi land, regardless of the justification, is an intolerable violation of Iraq’s territorial integrity and poses a threat to the security and stability of its citizens.

In his message, President Amidi further stated that Iraq refuses to become a battleground for conflicts or a field for regional score-settling. He underscored Iraq’s commitment to fostering relationships grounded in mutual respect and good neighborliness, aiming to uphold the sovereignty of nations and prevent further escalation and instability in the region.
