Iran: Heavy Toll of Victims from Recent US Attacks


Baghdad: The Iranian Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that the recent US attacks resulted in the deaths of 50 people and injuries to 517 others.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Iranian news agencies quoted ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour as saying that the death toll included five women, two children, and two minors under the age of 18, while the number of injured included 32 women and 18 children and minors.



He added that 28 of the injured underwent surgery, while the files of 460 recovered patients were closed and they were discharged from hospitals. Thirty-seven injured individuals remain in intensive care.



This statistic comes amidst escalating tensions in the region and the repercussions of the recent US attacks on the security and health situation inside Iran.
