Baghdad: In an unprecedented move, Diyala Sports Club announced the launch of a public fundraising campaign to address its financial crisis by placing donation boxes in front of the city stadium gates. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the club's management stated in a brief statement: "We hope that the initiative of the fans and the people of the province will contribute to providing the necessary support to ensure the team's continued participation in the Iraqi Stars League."
