Al-walid: Customs officials have destroyed four tons of chicken deemed unfit for human consumption at the Al-Walid border crossing customs center. The action was taken after the chicken was found to have exceeded half of its shelf life, rendering it unsuitable for consumption.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the destruction was conducted in collaboration with the supporting security forces at the center, ensuring that all proper procedures were followed. This measure is part of a broader effort to protect public health and prevent the entry of unsuitable goods into local markets.

The General Authority of Customs emphasized its ongoing commitment to enforcing strict oversight at all customs centers and taking necessary legal actions against violations. These efforts aim to safeguard citizens and bolster food security in the country.
