Diyala: A dangerous terrorism suspect was apprehended in a strategic ambush conducted by a joint security force in Diyala. The operation took place east of Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrest followed months of detailed intelligence surveillance. The joint force successfully captured the suspect, who was a wanted individual under Article (4) of the Anti-Terrorism Law. The operation was carried out with precision and professionalism, overcoming the suspect’s attempts to evade capture by frequently moving between Baghdad and Diyala governorates.

The suspect has been transferred to the Diyala Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Directorate, which is the requesting authority. They will complete the legal procedures against him in accordance with the law.
