Coordination Framework Asserts Iraq’s Security and Sovereignty as Inviolable

Baghdad: The Coordination Framework has firmly stated that Iraq's security and sovereignty remain inviolable and must not be compromised under any circumstances, rejecting any attempts to turn Iraq into a battleground for regional and international conflicts. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Coordination Framework's media office released a statement following an emergency meeting held Wednesday evening at the Government Palace. The meeting was convened to address the recent American-Saudi attacks on Iraqi sovereignty. The statement condemned the aggression against Iraqi territory, which led to the deaths of several Popular Mobilization Forces members and injuries to others, marking a clear violation of Iraq's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a breach of international law principles and the UN Charter. The Framework expressed its surprise at the attack, especially in light of the Iraqi government's commitment to a balanced foreign policy focused on building cooperative relationsh ips with regional neighbors and the international community. The Framework extended condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished a swift recovery for the injured. The statement reiterated that Iraq's security and sovereignty are not negotiable and rejected any attempts to use Iraq as a stage for broader regional or international conflicts. Furthermore, the Framework emphasized that such attacks against Iraq do not align with regional and international efforts to stabilize the area and de-escalate tensions. Instead, these actions complicate the situation, posing a threat to security and stability across the entire region.
