Baghdad: Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of the Sadrist Movement, has accused "rogue militias" of being responsible for the deaths of fighters within Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces and security forces. In his statement on the X app, al-Sadr highlighted the ongoing issue of unauthorized militias operating outside state control as a major factor contributing to these losses.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sadr emphasized that the failure to limit weapon possession to state entities has led to unnecessary casualties among those defending the nation. He lamented that while these "rogue militias" continue their activities, their leaders remain in positions of comfort and security. Al-Sadr called for an end to what he described as "individual and irrational actions," urging for the protection of Iraq from such detrimental activities.

In his message, al-Sadr expressed his prayers for the martyrs and offered condolences to their families, calling for divine protection over Iraq. He concluded by invoking God's guidance and success for the nation in overcoming these challenges.
