Baghdad: Iraqi Minister of Agriculture, Abdul Rahim Al-Shammari, chaired a meeting on Thursday to discuss the winter agricultural plan. The meeting was attended by the ministry's undersecretaries, advisors, several directors general, and agricultural specialists.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, discussions focused on developing a new, comprehensive, and up-to-date plan for receiving the wheat harvest for the upcoming winter season. This plan takes into account crop diversification to achieve self-sufficiency in wheat production, support livestock with feed, and ensure the availability of winter vegetables to meet local demand.
