Al-walid: A quantity of human medicines intended for smuggling was seized at the Al-Walid border crossing. The Border Ports Authority announced the seizure, highlighting a significant effort to curb illegal activities at one of the key entry points.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, detachments from the Al-Walid border crossing directorate, in coordination and cooperation with representatives of the National Security Service, the Intelligence Service, and the Customs Center, successfully intercepted a vehicle coming from the Syrian Arab Republic. The vehicle was found to be carrying human medicines in violation of Diwani Order No. (6) of 2019. This regulation dictates the authorized ports of entry for human medicines and mandates official approvals from the Ministry of Health along with compliance with specific transport conditions.

The Border Ports Authority, in its statement, elucidated that a formal seizure report was prepared following the discovery. Subsequently, the confiscated materials were handed over to the Al-Walid border crossing customs police station to initiate the necessary legal procedures.
