Baghdad: American firepower in Europe and Asia has experienced a significant decline due to ongoing conflict with Iran.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this reduction in military capability is primarily attributed to the depletion of US weapons stockpiles, which has left forces in these regions less equipped. The conflict has swiftly impacted air defense missiles and other crucial weapons, affecting military morale as well.

The New York Times, citing senior officials and experts, reported that the Pentagon had to urgently redirect warships, aircraft, and air defense units from Europe and Asia to the Middle East. This strategic shift has led to a notable decrease in firepower in these regions, raising increasing concern within military and intelligence circles.

Earlier reports by NBC highlighted that Pentagon leadership convened an emergency meeting to address ammunition and supply shortages. This meeting followed a call from Donald Trump to Deputy Secretary of Defense Stephen Feinberg, criticizing him over procurement issues.
