Forged Documentation Leads to Seizure of Goods at Umm Qasr North Port

Basra: Two trucks carrying goods with forged documents were seized at the Umm Qasr North Port. The Border Ports Authority announced the seizure of the vehicles, which were transporting goods under fraudulent documentation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Border Ports Authority released a statement highlighting the incident. "Detachments from the Umm Qasr North Port Directorate seized two trucks at the search and inspection point. The trucks were loaded with undeclared steel pipes and elbow boxes. Furthermore, the accompanying customs documents were found to be forged, as they originally belonged to a company subject to a judicial seizure order issued by the Umm Qasr Investigation Court. This necessitated immediate legal action."

The statement further explained that a formal seizure report was prepared. The two trucks, along with the forged customs documents, have been referred to the Umm Qasr Port Police Station for legal proceedings against those involved.
