Nine Suspects Arrested in Basra Following Neighbor Dispute

Basra: Basra police arrested nine suspects following a brawl in the Al-Jumhuriya district. The Basra Governorate Police Command stated in a press release that, based on information received through the central control room regarding a fight between two neighbors in the Al-Jumhuriya district, and under the direction of Basra Governorate Police Chief Major General Latif Abdul-Ridha Al-Saad, a joint force was formed by the Al-Jumhuriya Police Station in cooperation with detachments from the First Basra Emergency Regiment and the Al-Maqal Rescue Patrols. The operation resulted in the arrest of nine suspects from both sides of the fight.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement added that a pistol was seized from one of them, and that the necessary legal measures were taken against them.
