Maysan: Following a similar move by Dhi Qar, Maysan Governorate has announced the suspension of official working hours for tomorrow due to soaring temperatures.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the decision was made by Maysan Governor Habib Thahir Al-Fartousi, who declared that official working hours would be halted in the governorate on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, as a precautionary measure against the high temperatures. The announcement was made via a press release from the governorate's office earlier today.

This follows an earlier decision by the Dhi Qar Provincial Council, which also opted to suspend official working hours for tomorrow in response to the rising temperatures, indicating a regional response to the extreme weather conditions affecting the area.
