Iran Reports Over 3 Million Participants in Arbaeen Pilgrimage

Tehran: Iran has announced the participation of more than 3 million and 330 thousand of its citizens in the Arbaeen pilgrimage. Ali Akbar Pourjamshidian, head of the Central Committee for the Arba'een Pilgrimage in Iran, stated that a significant number of Iranian pilgrims have traveled to Iraq to commemorate Imam Hussein's pilgrimage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Pourjamshidian revealed to reporters that more than 3,330,000 Iranian pilgrims have crossed the country's borders to take part in the significant religious event. He further detailed that out of this total, 2,300,000 pilgrims have already returned to Iran, while approximately 1,030,000 are still in Iraq.

Pourjamshidian assured that services for the pilgrims participating in Imam Hussein's Arba'een will continue to be provided at border crossings and along return routes until all pilgrims have safely returned home.
