Mosul: The Deputy Minister of Industry and Minerals for Planning Affairs, Ahmed Abdul-Jabbar Al-Karim, announced the opening of the Waladi Textile Garment Factory in Mosul as a significant initiative aimed at bolstering the industrial sector in Nineveh Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the factory’s inauguration, Al-Karim remarked that the reactivation of the factory, following its rehabilitation, is expected to invigorate industrial activity, enhance local production levels, and create job opportunities for the local workforce. He noted the Ministry’s commitment to supporting factories and industrial workshops across Nineveh, with a focus on revitalizing stalled and damaged facilities to boost their production capabilities.

Al-Karim further explained that advancing local industry is crucial for reducing reliance on imported goods and supporting the national economy. He highlighted the Ministry’s ongoing plans to develop the industrial sector in Nineveh and to foster a favorable environment for investment.
