Baghdad: The President of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Faiq Zidan and Supreme Islamic Council President Sheikh Humam Hammoudi emphasized the importance of consolidating the rule of law and adherence to the Constitution.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Supreme Islamic Council’s media office released a statement indicating that Sheikh Humam Hammoudi met with Judge Faiq Zidan to discuss recent national developments, challenges facing the state, and the crucial role of law and constitutional adherence.

The statement highlighted that both leaders emphasized the judicial authority’s role in protecting the constitutional system, enhancing stability, consolidating justice, safeguarding state institutions, and preserving social peace. They noted the necessity of completing the ministerial cabinet, prioritizing national interests, and promoting integration among institutions to protect the democratic process and strengthen public confidence in legal frameworks.

The discussion also included the importance of combating corruption and ensuring that all arms remain under state control, following a realistic vision that supports stability and sets the stage for a promising new phase.
