US Military Loses Significant Portion of MQ-9 Reaper Drones in Conflict with Iran


Washington: The US military has lost a quarter of its stockpile of MQ-9 Reaper drones. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the US military lost approximately 25% of its MQ-9 Reaper drones during the conflict with Iran, as reported by The Washington Post citing three US officials.



The Washington Post revealed that the US military lost at least 45 MQ-9 Reaper drones during the war with Iran, which is equivalent to 25% of its arsenal. The cost of a single MQ-9 Reaper drone ranges between $30 million and $50 million, depending on the type of sensors and weapons it carries.
