Damascus: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi met with Kurdistan Democratic Party leader Masoud Barzani in Erbil to discuss continued coordination and cooperation between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region in securing borders and maintaining security and stability.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the National Security Advisory issued a press release stating that al-Aboudi and Barzani reviewed the overall situation within Iraq, alongside the latest regional and international developments. The meeting focused on enhancing security cooperation and exchanging information related to preventing smuggling and combating terrorism.
Al-Aboudi conveyed greetings from Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi to the leadership in the region, highlighting the federal government’s commitment to maintaining security and stability across the region and all Iraqi cities. The National Security Advisor arrived in Erbil this morning, leading a high-level security delegation under the instructions of Prime Minister al-Zaidi.
